Items and Upgrade Components in World of Warcraft
The ability to upgrade items is an excellent way to increase the value of your weapon and armor. Upgrades to common or magic gear are rarely worth it, as rare or unique items are likely to outperform them.
An item can be upgraded up to six times. Each upgrade will add to the item gauge.
Glyphs
Glyphs are the item upgrade materials that can be used to enhance the quality of an item's features. Glyphs can be used to improve weapons or armor.
